Time and Practice

After Vayu's birth I could only laugh at poses like these...

Progress of strength and body harmony for me, and most, takes those two elusive words: "time and practice".

Practicing the foundation, adding small but meaningful adjustments slowly and with intention creates trust in the body as you perpetually visit muscle groups to re-awaken them and build relationship.

These visits over time send a message of love and honor to the Body... the nature of your Spirit's existence.

Just ask the mind to be present and okay with honoring where your body is in it's experience ...and be there. Right there; with body, mind and spirit breathing into who you are now.... and who you are with each change.

Just like we visit the great Mother Nature herself, sit with her, breathe with her... we don't ask her to change we just marvel as she does.

I think I'm realizing my love of yoga and love for the earth are just one in the same. I've been re-visiting mama earth to re-learn how to honor her and re-visiting self to re-learn how to honor true Self

I respectfully acknowledge the land on which I live and work is the territory of O’odham Jewed, Akimel O’odham (Upper Pima) and Hohokam Nations.

I also honor and give thanks to my indigenous Cherokee, Celtic and Nordic ancestors, whose wisdom and medicine I am here to remember and carry.
